Short translation of the citation:
In battle with the advancing enemy on July 5 of this year in the area of the village of Protasovo, working at the radio station, he did well ensuring the battalion commander’s communications with the forward observation post and firing positions. Notwithstanding the fact that the enemy was laying down a hurricane of artillery fire on the battalion commander’s headquarters, he did not lose communications with the batteries’ firing positions. Thanks to well organized communications, over two days of combat, 9 enemy tanks were disabled and several enemy attacks were repulsed by the battalion
