Soviet Guard’s Badge
Early Example
This Guards Badge is made of gold plated brass and enamels. It measures 44.64 mm in height and 35.45 mm in width and weighs 16.3 gram without its screw plate.
This early Guards Badge is in nice, above average condition. The white enamel is flawless and the red enamel shows a superficial chip on its top banner only. Even the higher laying parts show little wear and its details are crisp. The screw is full length and the badge comes with its original time period screwplate.
The awardee used some red cloth which can be attached to the reverse of the badge. Maybe for extra protection or for aesthetic reasons.
