Soviet Order of the Red Star #1746027
Soviet Order of the Red Star; made of silver and enamels. It measures 48.12 mm in width, 46.11 mm in height and weighs 32.1 gram. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.
This original order is in nice condition with problem free enamels. There are several small superficial contact marks and dings but nothing distracting from the overall appearance of the order. The higher laying parts on its obverse show medium wear but most details are still visible. The screwplate is time period to the order and the screw has not been shortened.
Probably awarded during the spring of 1945 so with nice research potential.
The Soviet Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
