For decisive leadership and personal courage as deputy battalion commander, skillfully coordinating firepower and leading his troops from the front. During the battle for Zhebetin, he repelled a superior enemy counterattack and personally led the battalion to capture the town after an eight-hour street fight

 

 

Made of solid silver. Measures 46.23 mm in height, 45.17 mm in width and weighs 29.1 grams without its screwplate. The serial number and the mint mark Monetni Dvor are located at the 6 o’clock position on the reverse. The minimum know serial number is 3203 and the maximum number is 9890.

 

In excellent, well above average condition with almost all details visible and light wear to the raised areas only. The order shows an appealing dark patina on its obverse and a beautiful shine on its reverse. There have been no repairs and the screw is full length. It comes with its time period silver screwplate which fits well.

During the fighting at the town of Zhebetin, the enemy concentrated a superior force and launched a counterattack. Posted with one of the squadrons, comrade Sergeyev, a true patriot, and his men refused to abandon their lines. The German infantry retreated, having suffered heavy losses. After an eight-hour battle in the streets, the battalion, commanded by comrade Sergeyev himself, was able to seize the town.
