Medal of Ushakov #6375
To motorboat captain Mikhail Vasilievich Bezborodov (Михаил Васильевич Безбородов)
For participating in the combat operation on the Narva river, exhibiting courage and bravery while repairing combat damage under enemy fire and exceeding daily working quotas
Made of solid silver. Measures 35.86 mm in width, 48.19 mm in height including its eyelet and it weighs 32.6 grams without its suspension. Featuring admiral Ushakov surrounded by 84 ‘pearls’. The serial number, “6375”, is located on the reverse of the medal. The minimum known serial number is 9 and the maximum 15704.
This Medal of Ushakov is nice condition with light to medium wear on the higher laying parts only. Ushakov’s facial features are perfectly visible as are the details of the lettering . There are several dings and small scratches on both sides but not disturbing the overall appeal of the medal. The chain on its (improvised) suspension is made of silver but not authentic to the medal and its connection ring has been cut.

“Comrade BEZBORODOV Mikhail Vasilievich actively participated in the vessels winter repairs season. The planned work was finished 15 days ahead of the schedule. He has been exceeding his daily working quotas reaching the level of 145-160%. He participated in the combat operation on the Narva river, where he had to conduct the repairs of the combat damage. Exhibiting courage and bravery working under enemy fire, he repaired the motorboats №14, №132, №361, and №25. He worked day and night, preparing the engines for the Viborg, Narva, Dago island, and Øsel island combat operations.
