Medal for the Victory over Japan
Variation 1a with a separately soldered eyelet and a curved diagonal line in the ‘4’ on its reverse
Made of brass. Measures 32.13 mm in width, 37.47 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 17.1 grams without its suspension.
In nice, about average condition medium wear to the raised areas and most details visible. A fair amount of the original gold-like luster is still present and the medal comes with its time period double layer suspension and old ribbon.
Awarded to Soviet service personnel of the 1st and 2nd Far East Trans-Baikal Fronts, Pacific Fleet and Amur River Flotilla who were active between 8 August and 23 August 1945.
