Medal for the Liberation of Belgrade

 

Variation 2 with an U-shaped Eyelet

 

Awarded to Nikolay Andreevich Vasilyansky (Николай Андреевич Василянский)

 

Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.06 mm in width, 37.19 mm in height including its eyelet and it weighs 16.4 gram without its suspension. 

This medal is in a nice, decent condition with medium overall wear. Most details are still visible although some of the higher laying details like the bottom part of the wreath have partly been worn off. There are several dings and contact marks but noting distracting from the overall appeal of the medal. The double layer suspension is time period to the medal as is its old ribbon.

Its accompanying document is dated 14 December 1947 and is numbered A 107159

 

Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the liberation of Belgrade between 29 September and 22 October 1944.
