Medal for the Defense of Stalingrad variation 1
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.08 mm in width, 36.92 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 16.2 grams without its suspension.
In excellent condition with its details mostly visible and light overall wear. There are relatively few dings and scratches on its obverse and its connection ring appears to have been re-soldered. The owner sure was proud of this medal and took good care of it. The old plastic cover protected the ribbon which is therefore in stunning condition and fully original as is its suspension.
Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defense of Stalingrad between July and November 1942.
