Medal for the Construction of the Baikal-Amur Railway

Made of gold plated brass. The medal measures 32.08 mm in diameter, 37.10 mm in height including its eyelet and it weighs 16.6 grams without its suspension. The reverse of the eyelet is stamped ‘LMD’ (ЛМД) for Leningrad mint.

The medal is in excellent, well above average condition with all details crisp with few dings and scratches. Most gold plating is still present and it comes with its time period suspension and original ribbon.

Awarded to workers on the Baikul-Amur Railway (BAM). For 2 years outstanding service between 1974 and 1984.
