Medal for the Capture of Budapest
Variation 1b with a raised rim on its reverseÂ
Made out of gold plated brass. Measures 32.09 mm in diameter, 37.59 mm in height and weighs 17.0 grams in weight without its suspension.
The medal is in worn but decent condition with medium overall wear and and a dent to the 2 o’clock position of its reverse. There are several small scratches and contact marks on both sides and its double layer suspension is time period to the medal.
Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the battle of Budapest between 20 December 1944 and 15 February 1945.
