Medal for the Capture of Budapest
Early variation without a raised rim on its reverse
Made of brass. It measures 32.06 mm in diameter, 37.83 mm in height including its eyelet and the medal weighs 17.2 grams without its suspension.
In excellent condition with its details crisp; even the raised areas like the bottom wreath have light wear only. Both sides show several small dings and scratches and a medium patina. The medal comes with its double layer steel suspension.
Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the battle of Budapest between 20 December 1944 and 15 February 1945.
