Medal for the Capture of Budapest
Variation 1b with a raised rim on its reverseÂ
Made out of gold plated brass. Measures 32.13 mm in diameter, 37.29 mm in height and weighs 17.2 grams in weight wihtout its suspension.
The medal is in decent overall condition with medium overall wear. There are several dings and scratches on both sides and some of the raised details like the wreath are worn off. The medal comes with a late Soviet aluminium suspension.
Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the battle of Budapest between 20 December 1944 and 15 February 1945.
