Medal for the Capture of Budapest
Variation 1b with a raised rim on its reverseÂ
Made out of gold plated brass. Measures 32.23 mm in diameter, 37.70 mm in height and weighs 17.2 grams in weight wihtout its suspension.
The medal is in excellent condition with most details crisp and much of the original luster present on both sides. There are relatively few dings and scratches and its double layer suspension is time period to the medal.
Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the battle of Budapest between 20 December 1944 and 15 February 1945.
