Less seen variation with a round eyelet struck as part of the medal
Made of brass. Measures 32.10 mm in width, 37.32 mm in height including its eyelet and it weighs 15.8 grams without its suspension.
This medal is in excellent condition with its details crisp and much of the original luster still present. Both sides show light wear and relatively few dings and scratches. The aluminium suspension is late soviet.
The Medal “For the Capture of Berlin” was awarded to soldiers of the Red Army, Navy, and troops of the NKVD, direct participants of the assault and capture of the city as well as to the organizers and leaders of combat operations in the capture of this city.
