Medal for Distinction in Guarding the State Border
Post Soviet Issue without the letters ‘CCCP’ on its reverse (1992-1994)
Made of German silver. It measures 32.11 mm in width, 37.05 mm in height (including the eyelet) and it weighs 16.9 grams without its suspension.
The medal is in great condition with light overall wear and its raised details perfectly crisp. Both sides show an appealing layer of patina and the medal comes with its time period suspension and ribbon.
Scarce variation as it was produced only for a few years before the medal was exchanged for a different design
Awarded to K.G.B. Border Troops personnel for military or other actions displaying excellence in guarding the borders of the Russian Federation.
