Soviet Medal for the Construction of the Baikal-Amur Railway
Made out of gold plated brass. The medal measures 32.10 mm in diameter, 37.01 mm in height including its eyelet and it weighs 17.1 gram without its suspension. The reverse of the eyelet is stamped ‘LMD’ (ЛМД) for Leningrad mint.
The medal is in superb condition with all details crisp and full gold plating. Even the higher laying parts show little wear. It comes with its time period suspension and original, time period ribbon.
Awarded to workers on the Baikul-Amur Railway (BAM). For 2 years outstanding service between 1974 and 1984.
