Awarded to Guards private first class Nikolaj Gavrilovich Chereut (Николай Гаврилович Череут)

 

For being a brave tractorist, moving artillery pieces to new firing positions in timely fashion and delivering ammunition to the firing position

 

 

Medal for Bravery #1261509

Made of solid silver and lacquer. Measures 42.25 mm in height including its eyelet, 37.40 mm in width and it weighs 27.0 gram without suspension.

In nice condition with medium wear and several dings and scratches. The lacquer filling the letters is all missing which is often seen with these older Medals for Bravery. Most details however are still visible and its connection ring has not been cut.

The accompanying booklet contains all pages and is numbered Б(B) 977438. It mentions this Bravery Medal alone.

 

Order of the Red Banner of Labor #1006564

Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 48.17 mm in height including its eyelet, 37.15 mm in width and it weighs 35.6 gram without its suspension.

In great condition with most gold plating present and crisp details and no repairs. The red, blue and white enamels are flawless its connection ring has not been cut.

It comes with its order booklet in pristine condition which mentions this order alone.

 

Order of the Patriotic War 2nd class #5003509

Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 46.42 mm in height including its eyelet, 44.46 mm in width and it weighs 26.9 gram without its screwplate.

In great condition with all details pristine and problem free enamels. It comes with its original, time period and well fitted screwplate and its screw is full length.

Its accompanying booklet is in excellent condition and numbered З(Z) 825509.

 

Medal for the Capture of Berlin 

Made of gold plated brass. Measures 36.97 mm in height including its eyelet, 32.16 mm in width and it weighs 17.2 gram without suspension.

In excellent condition with its details crisp and much gold plating still present. There are relatively few dings and scratches and the medal comes with its time period brass suspension and old ribbon.

Its booklet is dated 25 May 1946 and is numbered Б(B) 190111.

 

Citation for the Medal for Bravery  #1261509

Tractorist of the 3rd battery Guards private first class CHEREUTA Nikolaj Gavrilovich is bestowed, because he proved himself to be a brave tractorist. His tractor is always in good technical condition and ready for combat missions. He always managed to move the artillery pieces to new firing positions in timely fashion and the artillery could open fire in time. He delivers ammunition to the firing position.

He is Patriotic war  participant since January 1942. Born 1922, VKP(b) member, Ukrainian, drafted to Red Army by Sinelnikovo district military commissariat, Dniepropetrovsk region.
