Awarded to Sr. Sergeant Pavel Petrovich Loshkarev (Павел Петрович Лошкарев)

 

For showing courage and heroism during a combat operation near the village of Annivka on October 30, 1943 where he saved a burning vehicle at the risk of his life under enemy aircraft fire

 

The group consists of the following items:

 

Medal for Bravery #2603126 with its medal booklet

Made of solid silver. Measures 42.45 mm in height including its eyelet, 37.42 mm in width and weighs 27.3 grams. The medal is in above average condition with relatively few dings and scratches. The details are perfectly crisp and a most of the original red lacquer is still present(~90%). The medal comes with its time period suspension and old ribbon and its connection ring has not been cut.

Its accompanying booklet is in problem free condition with all pages firmly attached. It mentions this Medal for Bravery together with another one which is missing.

 

Medal for the Victory over Germany with document

Made of gold plated brass. Measures 36.41 mm in height, 32.08 mm in width and weighs 16.6 grams. In excellent condition with all details crisp and much of the original gold-like luster present.

In good condition and shows the number Ю 0248969 on its reverse.

 

Red Army soldier’s ID booklet

In used condition but all pages are present.

 

Two wound certificates

Included are two original wound certificates: one noting a mine fragment wound to his right buttock on August 16, and another recording shrapnel wounds to his thigh and left arm on March 28, 1945, at the 2nd Ukrainian Front.

 

Short excerpt on the citation for the medal of bravery:

Senior Sergeant Loshkarev Pavel Petrovich, mechanic-driver of a GAZ vehicle. For the fact that during battle with German invaders, he showed courage and heroism. During a combat operation near the village of Annivka on October 30, 1943, under enemy aircraft fire, he saved a burning vehicle at the risk of his life.
