Awarded to Sergei Efimovich Utrobin (Сергей Ефимович Утробин)
Made of solid 14k gold. It measures 29.56 mm in height including the eyelet, 26.15 mm in width and weighs 14.8 gram without its suspension.
In near mint condition with crisp details and virtually no traces of wear. The suspension includes its time period and original ribbon, stickpin and screwplate. The connection ring attached to the suspension has not been cut and its screw has not been shortened.
Soviet State Prize was originally introduced in 1967 to replace the Stalin Prize. It was a very prestigious award until the last days of the Soviet Union. State Prize Medals were often awraded for top results in labor and for improvements leading to increased productivity and sometimes to artists and poets. 300 State Prizes were awarded annually.
