Тюнин Михаил Федорович

 

Awarded to Lieutenant Mikhail Fedorovich Tyunin (Михаил Федорович Тюнин)

 

For destroying an enemy mortar position, a heavy machine-gun, suppressing 2 enemy mortar batteries and eliminated up to 70 enemy troops 

 

The group consists of the following items:

 

Order of the Red Star #867592

Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 48.30 mm in height, 49.89 mm in width and weighs 30.5 gram. The mint mark Monetni Dvor in two lines is located above its screwpost and the serial number at the bottom.

In excellent, above average condition with beautiful enamels and without repairs. Its details are mostly visible and its reverse shows a medium dark patina. Its screw is full length and the well fitted screwplate is time period to the order.

 

Order of the Red Star #3207234

Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 45.51 mm in height, 47.60 mm in width and weighs 30.7 gram. The mint mark Monetni Dvor in two lines is located at the top of its reverse and the serial number at the bottom.

In excellent with beautiful enamels and without repairs. The centre medallion shows medium wear and some of the details are worn off. Its screw is full length and the well fitted screwplate is time period to the order.

 

Medal for Combat Merit

Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 32.09 in diameter and weighs 18.7 gram.

The medal is in decent condition with crisp details and all enamel present. Its connection ring has not been cut.

 

Medal for the Capture of Berlin

Made of gold plated brass. Measures 32.14 in diameter and weighs 15.9 gram.

The medal is in excellent condition with crisp details and much gold plating present.

 

Medal for the Liberation of Prague

Made of gold plated brass. Measures 32.24 in diameter and weighs 17.8 gram.

Excellent example with crisp details and much gold plating still present.

 

Medal for the Victory over Germany 

Made of gold plated brass. Measures 32.34 in diameter and weighs 17.4 gram.

In worn but decent condition with a fair amount of its details still visible. Most of the gold plating has worn off.

Citation of the Order of the Red Star #867592

“Comrade TYUNIN commander the mortar company in an artillery duel near the village Maichakrak on 06 November 1943. His mortars destroyed one enemy mortar position and one heavy machine-gun, suppressed 2 enemy mortar batteries, scattered and eliminated up to 70 enemy troops, who attempted to brace for an attack.

Conclusion: For exhibited courage and bravery in the struggle against the German invaders, he deserves state award – order “RED STAR””
