Documented Group of Soviet Awards

Awarded to Colonel Nikolaj Andronovich Semeyonov (Николай Андронович Семейов)

His Order of Lenin was bestowed despite some strong criticism on his input and mismanagement. He was even dismissed from his position by the order of the Black Sea Fleet Commander

We have encountered only 3 such cases in the thousands of awards researched!

The group consists of the following items:

Order of Lenin #38438

This original order is in excellent condition with perfect enamels and crisp details. Even the higher laying parts of Lenin’s face show almost no wear. There have been no repairs and the double layer suspension is time period to the order. Its connection ring has not been cut.

Beautiful pieces with very unusual research. Rare as such

Citation for the Order of Lenin:

He is unfit for his current position. During extended period of time, he exceptionally negligently executed his service duties. He exercised complete negligence and inactivity in the matters of preserving the ammunition stock, for which he was dismissed from his position by the order of the Black Sea Fleet Commander. Refrain from bestowing him with a state award

Citation for the Order of the Patriotic War 1st class (which is missing):

Since June 1941 till now, colonel comrade SEMYONOV has been the head of the artillery section of the Kerch, Novorossiysk, and Ismail Navy bases.

In the dire period, when the enemy was approaching the Kerch and Novorossiysk, comrade SEMYONOV uninterruptedly supplied the vessels and the land units with the artillery pieces and equipment, rifle weapons, and ammunitions. During the evacuations of the rear units of the Kerch and Novorossiysk Navy bases, comrade SEMYONOV evacuated all the armament, equipment, and ammunitions without any losses.

On the recurrent capture of the town of Kerch, comrade SEMYONOV uninterruptedly supplied the vessels and the land units with weapon systems and ammunitions. There has never been a single disruption in weapon deliveries. Especially the landing crafts and units were properly supplied.

After he was relocated to the position of the Head of the artillery section of the Ismail Navy base of the Danube Flotillia, comrade SEMYONOV began his tireless work for providing the weapons and ammunition to the entire force of the Danube Flotillia.

It is the Ismail artillery depot, that is the main hub for resuppluing the whole flotilla force with weapon systems and ammunition.
citation OPWI 200269 SEMYONOV all lines are to be filled in.
