Soviet Documented group of an Order of the Patriotic War and a Red Star
Awarded to Military Medic and Lieutenant Maria Semyonovna Zagorskaya (Мария Семеновна Загорская)
For treating hundreds of wounded servicemen, reducing the usage of limited recourses and training assistants
The group consists of the following items:
Order of the Red Star #46176
Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 49.12 mm in width, 47.69 in height and weighs 29.9 gram without its screwplate.
The order is in nice condition despite the loss of its enamels on the 3 o’clock ray of the red star. The details of the centre medallion are very well defined and shows all facial features of the soldier’s face. Both sides show a nice even patina and the screw of the order has not been shortened. The order comes with its time period and well fitted silver screwplate.

Made of solid gold, silver and enamels. Measures 46.40 mm in height, 44.14 mm in width and weighs 26.8 gram without its screwplate.
In excellent condition with stunning enamels and crisp details. Both sides show a nice even patina and the screw of the star has not been shortened. The order comes with its time period and well fitted screwplate.

In excellent condition with all pages present and firmly attached. The booklet is numbered A 383801
Brief and specific description of the personal feat or merits:
“Senior medical assistant comrade ZAGORSKAYA has been working in the 61 separate medical battalion from the first day of the German Fascism aggression against our Motherland. In this period, she proved herself as a hardworking and devoted daughter of the Motherland. As the senior medical assistant, she serviced two surgical stations. She fully and in a timely fashion provided the surgeons with the sterile surgical instruments and the dressings. She treats the wounded with love and respect. Several hundreds wounded servicemen have been treated by her and felt her genuine sisterly care.
Comrade ZAGORSKAYA is attentive and economical to the medical equipment, having saved 20% of dressings. Under her leadership and personal involvement, 1480 dressings and 1200 medical towels were washed and cleaned.
In her spare time, she personally trained 3 junior medical assistants and increased their efficiency.
She deserves state award order “Red Star””
