Description

Soviet Documented group of an Order of the Patriotic War, Bravery Medal and a Medal for Combat Merit

Awarded to Guards Jr. Sergeant Fedor Andreevich Kisilev (Федор Андреевич Кисилев)

For eliminating up to half an enemy platoon and suppressing two enemy mortars with his rocket launcher

The group consists of the following items:

Order of the Patriotic War 2nd class #144927

Made of solid gold, silver and enamels. Measures 47.20 mm in height, 44.75 mm in width and weighs 25.6 gram without its screwplate.

This order of the Patriotic War is in excellent, above average condition considering it is a relatively early wartime award. Its details are crisp and the enamels are without repairs and show a small superficial chip on the 3 o’clock ray of the red star only. The screw of the order has not been shortened and the order comes with its time period silver screwplate.

Medal for Bravery #524679

Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 37.22 mm in diameter, 41.81 in height including its eyelet and weighs 26.9 gram

The medal is in a nice, worn condition with several dings and scratches and medium overall wear. Its details are still perfectly visible but the lacquer filling the letters CCCP is all gone. Its connection ring has not been cut.

Medal for Combat Merit #1984264

Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 37.26 mm in height including its eyelet, 32.35 mm in width and weighs 18.9 gram

Like the previous medal, this one is in worn condition too with several dings and scratches and medium overall wear. Its details are mostly visible but the lacquer filling the letters CCCP is all gone. Its connection ring has not been cut.

Order Booklet with all awards above mentioned

In excellent condition with all pages present and firmly attached. The document is numbered A No 254323

Research of the Order of the Order of the Patriotic War 2nd class:

“Comrade KISILEV proved himself brave and courageous during the combat engagements against the German invaders. He executed all assigned to him missions precisely and in a timely fashion. In the engagements for the villages Red’ka and Borisovichi on 11 January 1944, comrade KISILEV drove this launcher into the designated firing position in time, despite strong enemy mortar and artillery fire falling around. He personally began loading the rockets onto the launcher, which allowed for firing the salvo in time. This salvo eliminated up to a half enemy platoon and suppressed two enemy mortars. Comrade KISILEV kept his composure and remained calm, when the enemy shells began falling around his vehicle. Skilfully driving his tank, he took his combat vehicle out of the combat zone without any damages.

He is devoted to the cause of Lenin-Stalin party and the Socialist Motherland. He deserves state award order “PATRIOTIC WAR II CLASS””
