Awarded to Sr. Lt. Lozovo for exceptional service as aide to the military commandant of Leszno and Gleiwitz. Lt. Lozovoy exhibited outstanding abilities in combating resistance, maintaining order, and arresting Fascists. Ironically, he was sentenced to five years in a correctional labor camp and sent to a penal company for negligence towards his military duties, the exact opposite of what earned him the Order of the Patriotic War. His awards were stripped in 1950 but reinstated in 1984
