Awarded to Lt. Petr Ivanovich Anisimov (Петр Иванович Анисимов)
For demonstrating exceptional bravery and dedication by repeatedly delivering crucial combat orders under dangerous conditions, including breaking through enemy ambushes and directly engaging German forces, ensuring the success of key missions for the 2nd Guards Cavalry Corps
Made of solid silver. Measures 37.23 mm in diameter, 3.07 mm in thickness and 41.91 mm in height including its eyelet. The eyelet is 5.39 mm wide and the medal weighs 30.6 grams without its suspension.
In excellent, above average condition with light to medium overall wear. The details of the raised areas like the rivets on the side of the tank and the canons are all visible and crisp. The lacquer filling the lettering is mostly present which is not seen often with this generation of Medals for Bravery. Its connection ring has been cut.
This medal was originally on a rectangular suspension and was replaced with a new one to comply with the new 1943 regulations of wearing Soviet awards. By the look of the old ribbon and the early pentagon suspension this was done shortly after these new regulations came into effect.

Comrade Anisimov, while serving as a signal officer in the corps headquarters, repeatedly ventured into the frontlines and divisions with crucial documents and combat orders, always delivering them promptly and in complete safety.
In January 1942, during battles near the Arkhangelsk sector, in a critical and tense moment, Comrade Anisimov, following a division with combat orders, unexpectedly came under fire from a group of German machine gunners.
