Order of the Red Star #1503774
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 48.15 mm in width, 46.44 mm in height and weighs 32.0 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.
In nice condition with medium overall wear and a dark patina on its reverse. A fair amount of detail on the raised parts like the soldier is still visible and both sides show some contact marks and small dings to the silver base. The enamels are well preserved without repairs and its screw has not been shortened. The order comes with its time period and well witted screwplate.
Probably awarded during the spring of 1945 so with nice research potential.
The Soviet Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
