Medal for the Defense of Odessa
Variation 1 with a separately attached eyelet
Made of brass. Measures 32.00 mm in width, 37.70 mm in height including its eyelet and it weighs 16.5 grams without its suspension.
This medal is in a nice, above average condition with light to medium overall wear and its details perfectly visible. Even the often worn down lighthouse is still clearly visible. There are several small dings and scratches on both sides but none detract from the overall appeal from the medal. The double layer suspension is time period to the medal and its connection ring has been cut.
Increasingly hard to find
This medal was awarded to all participants in the defence of Odessa. Both to soldiers and civilians, who took part in the defence of Odessa during its siege by German forces.
