Made of solid silver and lacquer. It measures 37.15 mm in diameter and 2.58 mm in thickness. The height of the medal is 41.72 mm including its eyelet and it weighs 26.9 grams without its suspension.
The medal is in worn but fair condition with most details visible and a small amount of the red lacquer still present, although covered by a layer of dirt. The brass suspension is time period to the medal and its connection ring has been cut.
Probably a ‘catch-up’ medal awarded in the 1950’s for actions during the war
