Medal for the Capture of Budapest
Early variation without a raised rim on its reverse
Made of brass. It measures 32.07 mm in diameter, 37.71 mm in height including its eyelet and the medal weighs 16.2 grams without its suspension.
In excellent condition with its details crisp; even the raised parts like the bottom leaves show light wear only. Both sides show few dings and scratches and a beautiful patina to the gold luster. The medal comes with a brass suspension.
Awarded to Soviet service personnel who took part in the battle of Budapest between 20 December 1944 and 15 February 1945.
