Awarded to Sergeant Vasily Mikhailovich Kiselev (Василий Михайлович Киселев)
For being seriously wounded in the left leg by an explosive bullet when evacuating wounded from the battlefield
Made of solid silver, gold and enamels. The order measures 43.97 mm in width, 46.03 mm in height and weighs 28.6 grams without its screwplate. Its serial number and mint mark are located on the bottom of its reverse.
In excellent condition with crisp details and light overall wear to the silver base. The red and white enamels are problem free without repairs and shows a few minor superficial chips only. It comes with its original, time period screwplate and its screw has not been shortened.
Brief description of his feat of arms or achievements:
Sergeant. Born 1903. Russian. In the Red Army from August 1941 until February 1943. Only award.
Being in the 1123rd rifle regiment of the 415th rifle division as a sanitary instructor, during the evacuation of the wounded from the battlefield, he was seriously wounded in the left leg by an explosive bullet. As a result of the injury the left leg in the middle third of the thigh was amputated.
Works as an accountant at the collective farm “Krasnaya Niva”
