Made of silver and enamels. Measures 57.91 mm in width, 57.95 mm in height and weighs 62.3 gram without its screwplate. The mint mark “Monjetnij dvor” is located above the screw post in one curved line and the serial number “39316” is positioned at the bottom of its reverse.
This original order is in excellent condition with all details crisp and light overall wear. The blue and white enamels are problem free with few dings and contact marks only. There have been no repairs and the screw has not been shortened.

“He has been stationed in the Democratic Republic Afghanistan since 22 March 1986. He is an experienced, diligent, and disciplined officer. He executes his duties with high sense of dignity and responsibility. He mastered perfectly his aviation technical skills. He has achieved the “MASTER” level valuation. He has made total of 900 hours flying time. During his service in Afghanistan, he and his crew made 150 combat sorties with total flying time of 173 hours. During the sorties, he keeps concentration and awareness. In the moments of complications in the air, he acts professionally, decisively, and with full dedication to achieve the combat mission.
On 05.09.1986, they were conducting an escort mission of 2 Mi-6 helicopters, which were transporting ammunition. Approaching the assigned ammunition unload point at Kuran-o-Munjan (36°01’08.0″N 70°44’38.0″E), the helicopters were subjected to intensive insurgents’ fire. The helicopters attacked the insurgents’ positions. The machine-gun fire laid by the door gunner Sr.Lt. SAVCHIN inhibited the insurgents in being able to fire accurately. This effort enabled the ongoing attack of the insurgents’ positions and successful ammunition delivery by the escorted helicopters.
