Awarded to Colonel Vasilij Aleksandrovich Baburin (Василий Александрович Бабурин)
First variation on a suspension. Less than 2500 pieces produced
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 36.86 mm in width, 44.77 mm in height and weighs 21.4 gram without its suspension. The mint mark is located above the serial number in one straight line. The minimum known serial number of this first variation on suspension is #4875 and the maximum is #7279.
This original order is in excellent, far above average condition with all details crisp. The red enamel is beautiful and without repairs and only shows some minor contact marks and dings, barely noticeable with the naked eye. The orders shows an attractive light patina and almost all of the gold plating is still present. Its connection ring is uncut and the double layer steel suspension is time period to the order.
A beautiful and early piece. Scarce!
