Awarded to Captain Ivan Yakovlevich Gusarov (Иван Яковлевич Гусаров)
For being the best officer in the battalion and personally organizing the reconnaissance and submachine gun company when fighting the Japanese at the Amur River
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 47.80 mm in width, 46.28 mm in height and weighs 30.2 gram without its screwplate. The serial number is located at the 6 o’clock position and the mint mark on the 12 o’clock position of its reverse.
This original order of the Red Star is in great, above average condition. The details are mostly visible although the higher laying parts show medium wear. The beautiful enamels are problem free apart from a superficial chip on the 5 o’clock ray of the red star. There have been no repairs and the screw is full length. It comes with its time period and well fitted screwplate.

During the period of fighting and actions of the battalion, he showed himself to be the best officer, able to lead and control battalion battles. During the occupation of the enemy’s islands and the right bank of the Amur River, personally organizing the reconnaissance and submachine gun company of the 101th fortified district machine gun brigade, which ensured the timely fulfilment of the assigned task by the fortified district brigade. As a result, he carried out all the tasks assigned to the battalion in a timely manner in the fight against the Japanese invaders.
