Early screwback piece without mint mark officially converted to a suspension type by the Mint
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 50.15 mm in height including its eyelet, 33.18 mm in width and it weighs 38.0 grams without its suspension. The serial number ‘2806’ is located on its reverse. The minimum known number for this variation is 2150 and the maximum is 4177.
In overall good condition with problem free enamels and most details visible. The higher laying parts such as the faces of the man and woman show light to medium wear. The enamels have no repairs but the separately soldered lettering ‘CCCP’ is lost. The screw was removed by the mint and a suspension device was attached to comply with the 1943 regulations on wearing Soviet awards.
