Soviet Medal for the 20th Anniversary of the RKKA 1938
This XX year RKKA medal is made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 32.27 mm in diameter, 35.87 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 22.9 gram without its suspension.
In decent condition with most details still present and medium overall wear. The higher laying parts like the soldier’s fingers and the rifle are still visible. The enamel shows a repair in the 9 o’clock ray of the red star. This is done quite nicely and certainly not as visible as some of the pictures suggest; in daylight the color of the repaired part is much more in harmony than in studio lighting. Its brass suspension is time period to the medal and its connection ring has been cut.
