Awarded to Azerbaijan Private Mamedsafa Mustafa-Ogly Mamedov (Мамедсафа Мустафа-Оглы Мамедов)
For fighting at Sevastopol on May 7th 1944 where he killed 5 Germans and was wounded
Made of solid silver and lacquer. The medal measures 37.32 mm in diameter, 42.29 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 26.4 gram without its suspension.
The medal is in nice, about average condition with most details still visible and a light patina on both sides. Most of the original red lacquer is lost and replaced with red paint. Its connection ring has not been cut and brass steel suspension is time period to the medal.

Awarded on May 29, 1944 to Private Mamedsafa Mustafa-Ogly Mamedov, rifleman in the 1st Rifle Battalion, 1337th Rifle Regiment, 318th Rifle Division, 3rd Mountain Rifle Corps, Coastal Army, 4th Ukrainian Front. During the fighting at Bezymyannaya hill (at Sevastopol) on May 7, 1944, he killed 5 Germans. Mamedov was wounded and evacuated to a hospital. He was born in 1910 and served in the army from May 1943 to January 1945. This was his only award, aside from a Victory over Germany medal.
