Group of Soviet Campaign Medals mounted on a brass suspension

Awarded to Guards Private Sergey Ivanovich Ilyenko (Сергей Иванович Ильенко)

The group consists of the following items:

Medal for the Capture of Budapest variation 1 with document:

Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.30 mm in width, 37.77 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 17.3 gram. 

This medal is in nice condition with its details still visible. There are several dings and small scratches on both sides but they do not distract from the overall appeal of the medal. A fair amount of gold plating is still present.

The medal comes with its booklet dated ’15 August 1946′ and is numbered A 267315

Medal for the Capture of Vienna variation 2 with document:

Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.14 mm in width, 36.92 mm in height including the eyelet and it weighs 17.2 gram.

This medal is in excellent condition with light wear and much gold plating present.

The medal comes with its booklet dated ’15 August 1946′ and is numbered A 157294
