Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 35.95 mm in width and 44.89 mm in height and weighs 24.4 gram without its suspension.
The order is in absolute mint condition. The details are crisp and the enamel is flawless. The gold plating is fully present and its connection ring has been cut. The award comes with its time period steel suspension and old ribbon.
The Order of the Red Banner recognized military deeds. Before the establishment of the Order of Lenin, the order functioned as the highest (and practically the only) military order of the USSR. Practically all well-known Soviet commanders became Cavaliers of this Order. Also awarded to NKVD personnel.
