Probably awarded early 1944. Good research potential.
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 46.34 mm in width, 47.98 mm in height and weighs 21.3 grams without its suspension. The serial number is located on top of its reverse.
In nice condition considering its an early, low numbered piece. A fair amount of detail is still visible although the raised areas show moderate wear. Both sides have numerous small dings and scratches and the enamels are all original with some superficial chipping only. Its connection ring has been cut and its double layer steel suspension and ribbon are time period to the order.
