Soviet Medal for the Defense of Odessa Variation 1 WW2
Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.28 mm in width, 37.16 mm in height including its eyelet and weighs 17.0 gram without its suspension.
This medal is in excellent, above average condition. There are several small dings and scratches on both sides but its details are mostly crisp and even the higher laying parts like the soldiers faces and show light wear only. Some of the gold plating is still present and there have been no repairs. The double layer steel suspension and ribbon are time period to the medal and its connection ring has been cut.
Hard to find
This medal was awarded to all participants in the defence of Odessa. Both to soldiers and civilians, who took part in the defence of Odessa during its siege by German forces.
