The medal comes with its booklet which is in excellent condition and dated 6 March 1948. It mentions Linkevich and shows his original picture.

Pensioner Yevgeny Mikhailovich Linkevich was the owner of a safe house located on the outskirts of Kiev. …Of particular difficulty was the conspiratorial laying and testing of a stationary radio station, but this work, thanks to the energy, hard work, intelligence and patriotism of a modest Soviet citizen, still alive and living in Kiev, Linkevich Yevgeny Mikhailovich, was completed in a short time. Left for work behind enemy lines, radio operators Yemets and Kravchenko tested the radio in early August 1941 and received satisfactory results.

Thus, the recruitment and preparation of “Maxim” and his group were basically completed. Initially, it included: Kudrya Ivan Danilovich – the head of the group, Gruzdova Maria Ilyinichna – the owner of the apartment where “Maxim” was assigned to live, and his closest assistant; Emets Konstantin Mikhailovich, Kravchenko Afanasy Fedorovich – both radio operators; Linkevich Evgeny Mikhailovich – the owner of the apartment – the radio communication point….
