We also included his citation for the Order of the Red Banner he received in 1945 (last image in the picture gallery). The translation reads as follows:

Brief, specific description of personal combat feat or merit:

Major Spesivov is one of the senior fighter pilots and a veteran of service in aviation units in the Far East. Since 1932 he has trained dozens of fighter pilots for air battles with Japanese samurai. Over many years of service he rose from flight commander to Assistant Commander of an Assault Division, has flown over 2,700 hours on various types of fighters, was among the first to master new combat equipment, and by personal example carefully and methodically trained dozens of fighter and assault pilots.

Since the beginning of the war with Japanese invaders he continuously worked among flight and technical personnel preparing pilots for combat, correctly organizing tactical cooperation between assault aircraft and fighters. During the execution of the main combat mission of the 12th Assault Division to destroy ships and transports in the port of Rasin, he personally made two combat sorties escorting and covering assault aircraft over the target. When enemy fighters appeared over the target, Major Spesivov led his fighters in repelling them over the port, contributing to the combat success of the assault aircraft.

For exemplary fulfillment of combat missions, for courage and bravery displayed personally; for effective combat operations of the 12th Assault Division, as a result of which 21 transports, 6 tankers, and other vessels were sunk — he is worthy of the government award, the Order of the Red Banner.

Commander of the 12th Assault Aviation Division, Air Force of the Pacific Fleet
Hero of the Soviet Union – Colonel Bartashov
