Order of the Red Star #807233
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 49.18 mm in width, 47.71 mm in height and weighs 30.4 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.
This original order is in great, well above average condition. The enamels are beautiful with a couple of dings on its top ray only. The higher laying parts on its obverse show light wear and almost all details are perfectly visible. The reverse is in equally excellent condition. The order comes with a time period nut and its screw has not been shortened.
A stunning piece with nice research potential. Probably awarded in October ’44.
The Soviet Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
