Order of the Red Star #732329
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 48.75 mm in width, 48.06 mm in height and weighs 29.6 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.
In worn condition although most details are still visible. The enamel shows a repair on the 5 o’clock ray of the star but is problem free on the other rays with some contact marks only. Its reverse is in nice condition and shows a medium patina. Its screwpost has not been shortened and the order comes with a correct wartime screwplate.
Probably awarded during the second half of 1944 so with nice research potential
The Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
