Order of the Red Star #595491
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 48.85 mm in width, 47.41 mm in height and weighs 29.4 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post. The minimum known serial number is 235999 and the maximum is 594967.
This order is in decent condition with strong wear on its center medallion. Its reverse is in better condition with its serial number and mintmark perfectly visible and few dings and scratches. Its screw has not been shortened and the order comes with a well fitted screwplate from a later period.
The red enamels show yellow/greenish spots and are applied in a rather sloppy way at its edges. We are therefore can not say for sure they have not been replaced and sell this piece as if the enamels were replaced.
The Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
