Made of silver and enamels. Measures 48.88 mm in width, 46.41 mm in height and weighs 27.6 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post. The minimum known serial number is 235999 and the maximum is 594967.
In superb, well above average condition with most details crisp. The red enamels are extremely well preserved without chipping, scratches or repairs. The raised areas on its obverse show light wear and both sides gathered an appealing layer of patina. Its screw has not been shortened and its original silver screwplate fits perfectly well.
The Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
