Made of silver and enamels. Measures 48.58 mm in width, 47.29 mm in height and weighs 25.7 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post. The minimum known serial number is 235999 and the maximum is 594967.
This nice order is in above average condition with medium overall wear. The red enamel is beautiful and without repairs but shows a small chip on the very tip of the 3 o’clock ray of the star. The higher laying parts on its obverse lost some of their details but most are still visible. Its screw has not been shortened and its screwplate is time period to the order.
Probably awarded in the winter of 1943-1944. Great research potential
The Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
