Made of silver and enamels. Measures 47.47 mm in width, 46.43 mm in height and weighs 27.0 grams without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post. The minimum known serial number is 235999 and the maximum is 594967.
In nice, above average condition with most details visible. The red enamel is without repairs and shows several small dings and a superficial flake on the left side of the hammer and sickle. The higher laying parts on its obverse show medium wear and the order shows a medium patina on both sides. Its screw has not been shortened and its screwplate fits well.
Probably awarded in the winter of 1943. Great research potential
The Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
