Awarded to the Jewish Captain of the Medical Service Idl Iosifovich Povolotsky (Идл Иосифович Поволоцкий)
For wounds sustained during the war
Made of silver and enamels. Measures 48.84 mm in width, 46.92 mm in height and weighs 31.2 gram without its screwplate. The serial number is located at the 6 o’clock position and the mint mark on the 12 o’clock position of its reverse. Variation with a serial number engraved with a rotating tool. The minimum known number is 3747114 and the maximum is 3858978.
This beautiful order of the Red Star is near mint condition. The details are crisp and even the higher laying parts on the soldier show little wear. The enamels are absolutely stunning without dings, scratches or flaking and the silver shows an appealing patina on both sides. There have been no repairs and the screw is full length.

Awarded on June 16, 1976 to Captain of the Medical Service Idl Iosifovich Povolotsky, chief physician of the 66th Automobile Regiment, 22nd Automobile Brigade for wounds sustained during the war. Povolotsky was born in 1919, was Jewish, and served in the army from 1943 to 1962.
