Soviet Order of the Red Star #2528373
Order of the Red Star; Made of silver and enamels. Measures 47.99 mm in width; 46.05 mm in height and weighs 31.8 gram. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.
This original order is in excellent condition with much detail. The red enamel is problem free and only has some tiny dings and scratches. Both sided show a beautiful dark toning and its screw has not been shortened. The nut is time period to the order.
Most likely awarded in the the second half ’45. Nice research potential.
The Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
